Paddy Long's has been in the news since we opened in 2007. Check out some of the people who have been talking about us.

Paddy Long’s Makes the Huffington Post for the Bacon Bomb Challenge “For the Bacon Bomb Challenge, you’ll have to eat the whole bomb and a large side of fries in just 45 minutes. Winners get a T-shirt and a spot on the Wall of Fame, plus the Bacon Bomb is on the house.”
Paddy Long’s Owner Chris Latchford on WGN Radio
“A Meat Heaven…The Bacon Bomb Challenge is a lot of bacon…An American football of beefy-bacony goodness.”
Dean Richards talks all about the Paddy Long’s Beer and Bacon Tasting
“They bring you the beer for this flight of beer, then they go around with big platters of bacon.”
Gapers Block
“Paddy Long’s is a fairly unassuming, Irish-inflected Lincoln Park bar with a well-priced international beer selection (charmingly chalked onto the bar’s blackboard in approximations of the draught beers’ brand fonts). Delirium Tremens and Lindeman’s Framboise are both on tap. A Manchester United tin plaque is on the wall. And in the upper left cornice of the bar, a creepy plastic pig mask almost blends into the pleasantly low lighting. But don’t be fooled — pig is big at Paddy Long’s.” (Read More)
Time Out Chicago
“Owners of Paddy Long’s Pub have created a delicious twist to the typical beer tasting: A side of bacon with each pint. Cara Magazine
It might be a departure for an Irish bar abroad to sell Belgian beers, but Paddy Long’s doesn’t resort to cliches. You won’t find any trinkets here, but the convivial atmosphere and great fish and chips make it a local favourite. (Read More)
Chicago Now
“…Admission is $5 per person. First and second place get cash prizes, and third place gets some kind of bar swag. The food specials are pretty good: there’s always the beer of the month, $4 varieties of Sierra Nevada, and $6 paninis. Parking was easy, too.” (Read More)
Metromix Chicago
Check out Metromix’s visit to Paddy Long’s after they won the title of Best New Irish Pub in Chicago.
Guys Drinking Beer
“…I don’t know which I am more excited to talk about, the beer or the bacon. Stone’s Smoked Porter is easily one of my favorite porters. And it paired so well with the brown sugar bacon…The Saturday night tasting was packed and is definitely a home run for Paddy Long’s. They did a solid job of pairing bacon with beer that either offsets some of the flavors (Trumer Pils with pepper bacon) or compliments (Stone Smoke Porter and brown sugar bacon). In fact, this was so good I may wait a few months and go again once some of the taps and pairings have changed.” (Read More)
